Graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UW Oshkosh, Personal Trainer Joe Jensen is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the human body. Joe has built his expertise working with the Wisconsin Badgers Strength and Conditioning Department, in multiple physical therapy settings, and from being a lifelong weightlifter himself. Through this experience, Joe completed his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His strengths are in corrective exercise, injury prevention and rehab, powerlifting, as well as enhancing the basics of every day movement through intentional exercises.
Joe keeps his training sessions full of variety and ultimately believes the best kind of exercise is the type where it doesn’t feel like exercise. He has worked with people ranging in age from 7 to 100 years old, and is always ready and able to get creative to help you reach your goals no matter what they are.
“I love to help change the perception of what exercise can be for people. I truly believe it should be a celebratory action rather than a punishment!”
In his free time, Joe loves to hunt, fish, hike, kayak, and spend time in northern Wisconsin. He is also a walking encyclopedia for all things classic rock and science-fiction, and, if given the chance, loves incorporating these into conversation in his sessions.
Joe is strongly optimistic and will guide you to the best version of yourself no matter what it takes. Get started with Personal Trainer Joe today!
