McKenzie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology-Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise.
Through her time as a strength and conditioning coach at Sports Advantage and volunteering with the Adapted Fitness program at UW-Madison, McKenzie has extensive experience working with a variety of ages and abilities. As a strength and conditioning coach, she taught junior agility classes, junior strength classes, and adult boot camps. Through her volunteering with the Adapted Fitness program, she learned how to adapt workout programs to any injury or physical/mental disability.
McKenzie competed in basketball and volleyball in high school. She continued playing volleyball on an coed intramural team at UW-Madison. In addition to personal training, McKenzie enjoys kayaking, running, hiking, spending time with family, and cheering on Wisconsin sport teams.
One of her favorite parts of personal training is seeing the mental benefits as much as the physical ones. She strongly believes that exercise can provide a boost in mood, attitude, and overall quality of life.
