“I had a heart event in 2010 and that sort of caught my attention.  I didn’t work out for maybe 2-3 years and learned to adjust on the golf course to that. Then I had heart bypass surgery in 2014 and more recently, about a year ago, I had another heart event that required a double stint.  That really got my attention.

My objectives have changed over the years, one was to increase strength initially but now, I’m just more concerned about remaining healthy.  My principal objective is not to be a burden to my wife and children. I worked in healthcare policy for many years and I know that about half of the 4 trillion dollars we spend on healthcare each year in this country is spent in the last 6 months of life. Those final years can be very expensive, very trying, and I just want to save my family from that kind of a bad experience.  The only way I can do that is by staying in good physical condition. I have Priscilla for as my Personal Trainer and she’s fantastic!  One of the things I really like about the Princeton Club is no matter where you are, whether you’re young or old like I am, a man or a woman, whatever your objectives are, they seem to be capable of helping you reach them.  We all need help with this stuff and the expertise here at the Princeton Club provides people that.

I can walk up and down stairs without difficulty.  I can get up out of a chair. Simple things I had always taken for granted that become more of a challenge as you get older.  Heart disease has several different dimensions and for me, it’s a matter of my arteries getting clogged up. In order to counteract that, my diet is extremely important and so is exercise because burning up the fat and keeping that whole system clear is really at the essence of what I’m trying to do. Medical Science can do some amazing things but it needs a little bit of help from us… otherwise you get to a stage of life where you’re just going from one medical emergency to the next.  I am now in good physical condition, probably more than I have been at any other time except for when I was really young.

I want to have the best quality of life I can, and that means staying in shape.
A better tomorrow starts with a healthy today.”
